This watercolor focuses on the Route 66 emblem at the Pier Burger sign on the Santa Monica Pier—where the historic highway meets the Pacific Ocean. I was drawn to the weathered neon, bold color, and layered signage that celebrate the spirit of travel and the end of America’s most famous road.
