Kit-Kat
Kit-Kat
This watercolor is a portrait of Kit-Kat, our neighbor’s cat who became part of our daily rhythm. She would visit us without fail—quietly, confidently—bringing with her a sense of familiarity and warmth that made her feel like our own. I was drawn to her striking yellow eyes and the layered textures of her fur, using loose, expressive brushwork to capture both her presence and her personality.
More than a likeness, this piece holds the memory of those small, consistent visits—the kind that turn a place into home. Kit-Kat reminds me how connection often arrives unannounced, and how deeply we can care for something that was never quite ours, yet always felt like it belonged.
